A person infected with Hepatitis B will have Hepatitis B Surface Antigen in their blood. This protein, found on the surface of the Hepatitis B virus, serves as a key marker for diagnosing Hepatitis B infection. The test cassette operates on the principle of a membrane strip pre-coated with recombinant capture proteins sensitive to Hepatitis B Surface Antigen in the test line. The HBsAg antibodies colloidal gold conjugate, along with the specimen, migrates chromatographically along the membrane to the test region. This interaction forms a visible line as an antigen-antibody particle complex, enabling a rapid, noninvasive test with flawless sensitivity and exceptional specificity*.
