This single-use, rapid cassette is designed for the qualitative detection of Treponema pallidum antibodies in whole blood*, serum or plasma. It is suitable for use in homes, clinics, and hospitals, providing critical support for early detection and management of patients with Syphilis while also ensuring the safety of blood supplies through accurate screening of blood donors and blood products.

A person infected with Syphilis will have IgM and IgG antibodies against Treponema pallidum in their blood. These are proteins produced by the body in response to a Syphilis infection. The test cassette operates on the principle of a membrane strip pre-coated with recombinant capture proteins sensitive to these antibodies in the test line. The TP antigen colloidal gold conjugate, along with the specimen, migrates chromatographically along the membrane to the test region. This interaction forms a visible line as an antigen-antibody particle complex, enabling a rapid, noninvasive test with flawless sensitivity and exceptional specificity*.
